How You Can Help
Volunteer...
In the Classroom - We need individuals from all professional areas to help teach workforce development and human resources topics in our New Directions class. Topics include Resume Writing, Mock Interviewing, Goal Setting, Decision Making and Healthy Choices.
On a Committee - We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to serve on the Center’s various committees which support our programs and services. From Special Event committees to Strategic Planning and Program Development, your talent and time could truly help impact a specific focus area.
On the Board - The Center relies on many valued volunteers to guide the direction of its programs and services through service on the Board of Trustees. Trustees provide guidance to the Executive Director, serve on the Center’s committees and bring resources to the organization.
At the Libraries - The Center is involved in supporting libraries and their programs as well. We are looking for volunteers who could help the libraries in their job search projects and various other workshops directed to the people who avail the services of the libraries.
With Special Projects - The Center uses volunteers for mailings, data entry, IT support, painting and clean up in the office, and other special projects, including our Community Engagement Committee (CEC ); which provides community outreach. Please let us know if you have time or skills you would like to share. To sign up for becoming a member of CEC contact the volunteer coordinator.
Donate...
Money to support Programs and Services – Your financial contribution and generous support of our special events allows us to continue to provide needed services to women in our community. We also like to work with our partners to leverage their support in the community to secure additional dollars.
Spread the Word...
Refer friends, family and co-workers to the Center - Tell everyone in your sphere of influence about the Center's programs and services. Our clinical counselors will assist anyone on their journey toward career development and financial stability. If you have a group who can benefit from learning more about the services NDCC provides, we can also visit your location. If you would like to schedule a presentation, or volunteer on the above mentioned projects contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 614-849-0028, ext 107 or volunteer@newdirectionscc.org.
